You won't find a drop stitch here

scarf scarf close up

I had a hank of Colinette Giotto yarn and after looking and looking for a scarf pattern that was not the same old drop stitch pattern, I found a ribbon scarf pattern on-line. The stitch looks a bit like lattice when knit up. I used size 10 1/2 needles rather than the 11s called for in the pattern and I cast on 22 stitches. If one has the time, it knits up quickly.

Wish I had seen this before I started the scarf I am working on now. I received some yarn from Kit (Russ's wife) since Billy (the dog) ate some of my yarn while we were dog sitting. I tried an interesteing one, but it didn't work with the yarn I have so I am just doing a herringbone design and it's a bit boring, plus the yarn is a varied texture brown alpaca so it's just blah. I think I will try this and, if it works, abandon the blah.

The party was great. Hope you are filled in on the details.
