Everything is Coming Up Roses
Here is my 5th cake and the last one for a while. Cake has become a four letter word in my house. Anyway, this one was for my mom who is a rose freak. Oh, I guess it is her birthday...I mean a rose connoisseur. You name it, she probably has it - English, Hybrid Tea, Floribundas, Climbers, etc. So, for her a rose cake was a natural choice. Plus, I wanted to try making them - lots of work, but worth it. It is a yellow cake with vanilla butter cream, lemon filling and fondant. These are some of my favorite fondant roses and the cake:

Masterpiece! and--- it tasted as good as it looked! Thank you!!!!
Wow...that's all I can say. WOW!!!
That is undoubtedly THE most beautiful cake I have ever seen in my life. Really!! I only wish I lived near you so I could order one for myself. I sincerely hope you consider going into business selling these amazing creations, if you don't already. You could be cake artist to the rich and famous.
Gotta go...I have to go have another look!!
Linda
you are very talented with the cakes, that is a gift , it is a tough business with little ones , maybe when they are bigger , oh the wedding cakes, I used to do it, people are willing to pay more for a custom made piece of art cake, word travels fast when this type of product is available, or keep making them for family ,lucky family.
You MADE that? Holy cow! That's no cake, that's a piece of art. Take this personally, but you make me sick. Totally in the I'm so jealous cuz I have no God given talent kind of way. Good for you! Lucky Mom.
I just don't know what to say.... absolutely amazing!!
That cake is stunning! I've never seen anything more beautiful.
You stopped by my blog and asked about making collages. I use the Microsoft Digital Image Suite for my photo editing and it offers the option for making collages. I also know there are some flickr toys that allow for collages/montages, although I haven't used them. Hope that helps!
What a work of art! I didn't think you could top the last one, but you did! Your mom must have been so happy. One day I will give it a go, but not until the kids are in high school!
I had to look twice and read it twice to really see if you made it and it wasn't an image of the internet! As someone said, you could be decorating cakes for the rich and famous! Truly a work of art!
I have to be honest. I've been stalking your cake! I keep coming back to look at this and I've also shown some coworkers. I'm taking a fondant cake decorating class in the fall...I hope I can make something this beautiful someday!
