1st Grade Butterflies
Spencer started the 1st grade yesterday and, boy, oh boy, did I have major butterflies. Spencer was very nonchalant about the whole thing, but I was worried about him being gone the whole day, I was nervous about the lunch room, I was concerned about the teacher...

When I picked him up from school I immediately asked how his day went and, with a spring in his step, he said "great"! He loves the 1st grade; every part of it. Goodbye butterfly.

You have taken the first painful step of letting go and the wonderul equally painful step of seeing and helping them grow to maturity and independence. lv Gigi
Way to go Spencer! He and Hailey could be two peas in a pod. I definitely had a harder day than Hailey on her first day of 1st grade:) He is looking so grown up. Will Owen fly the nest too?
