How Long?

Here is a question for you seasoned mothers out there - how long do you have to wear these treasures?

me with the necklace

Don't get me wrong, it is very sweet that Owen makes things for me, but I keep seeing that big purple heart in my peripheral vision and the whole thing is lopsided because he put more beads on one side than the other. I never had this dilemma with Spencer because he gave everything he made to his friends. In fact, last year he gave the Mother's Day card he made in class to his friend John (I am still waiting for John come over and do his laundry, make his bed and cook his meals).

So, seriously, how long?

Until nap time when it disappears. Out of sight=out of mind! What a sweet boy.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh, he did a beautiful job. Tell him it's so special you want to save it for a special time. then, one day, take him out to eat and proudly wear his necklace. Everyone who sees you will know exactly what it is and who made it. They will all stop you and tell you how beautiful it sis, and his heart will swell with pride.
He will remember it for the rest of his life. Especially when you wear it to his wedding. Which is what I am saving mine for. Check my blog tomorrow and I will post the necklace my son made for me. It's a hoot.

LOL about Spencer and the Mother's Day card... Ruby does the same thing. My mom worked on Valentine's Day card for her to give me and that little stinker took it to school and gave it to her friend!

When Ruby makes me something I wear it for about 30 minutes than I make some weird reason up ... like I have to put on my apron... and then that necklace is put somewhere "special" ;)

Hi Heather,
You look so pretty!! What is it about pregnant women and glowing...???

Hope you are feeling better...get Owen to make you a red heart. Seeing red in your peripheral vision might make your blood pressure rise!

Still waiting to see that baby bump...!!

Haha! That is too cute! I love it! I have no idea how long you are supposed to wear it. Maybe you could hang it somewhere in the house so you don't "wreck" it. ?? :)
