And The Baby Is...

First, I am happy to report the baby in the widget appears to be gaining weight. Now it's a healthy dizzy baby.

Second, I had my big ultrasound today and our baby is also healthy with everything where it is supposed to be and the right number of everything.

Okay, are you tired of waiting? The baby is a BOY!

Boy Baby Hat

This is the "Candy Cane" pattern from Susan B. Anderson's Itty-Bitty Hats book. It was knit in cotton for the preemie project back in September, but it looks like I will be making another one.

Oh I'm glad it is healthy... and that's what matters.... right?! ;)

I was crossing both fingers and saying "girl, girl, girl" as I waited for this to load.

I cried the day I found out Baby was a girl since we of course naturally wanted one of each.... BUT... I guess we love her anyway ;)

Do you think you'll try for 5 or should I just hold onto the girl clothes?

Mrs. F,

Bite your tongue! I always thought of myself as a boy mom, so 3 boys suits us just fine. It is our sweet little Laney that scares us to death! =)

Congratulations on your little blue bundle! It's going to be a fun time this summer. Glad all checked out well. Funny how our three of a kinds worked out.

Oh and just to be clear.... I wanted her to have a girl so I could pawn off all my stuff... not because I don't like boys!

Mrs. F,

Your girls are great! Don't get me wrong, I love little girls too. I always thought it would be nice to have a sister and wanted one for Laney, but you take what you get. We knew that more than likely we would get a boy, so we are just happy to have a healthy baby. Laney will be just fine with a little brother - she can play Monster Trucks with the best of them.

I think secretly Sam is breathing a sigh of relief. Not that 3 teenage boys are going to be easy, but Laney already scares him and she is only 2.

I now have girl clothes too...know anyone?

Hi Heather!

Congratulations!!! This little boy will be a perfect addition to your clan! And no need to worry about Laney - she has a house full of brothers! I'm sure she will be able to take care of herself! And the protective love/hate relationship of siblings will ward off the rest! All I have to say is - beware future boyfriends!

Glad your baby boy is looking healthy!

Smiles,
Amanda:)

Congratulations Heather!! Looks like little Laney is going to be a bit outnumbered!! You'll have to make sure she retains her feisty spirit...she's going to need it!!
(I know...I have four brothers!!!)

I can't wait to see what you are going to name your little sweet boy!!

A new blog title in the works? Either way, be sure to explain it to me...it took me AGES to figure out what Splaneyo stood for...even though I knew the names of your kids!! I'm a little slow on the uptake...

Congratulations! A boy! Boys are so much easier. Not that I would ever, ever think little Laney would be difficult, of course (lol). But boys are just the greatest....I've got 3 boys and 1 girl, too. That girl was like raising 15 kids all rolled up into one. She made me a believer of split-personalities, demons and drug taking (the drugs were for ME, not her). Ah, a boy. You lucky thing, you.
